Cobras Ready to Battle Lincoln Memorial in SAC Opener

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Cobra men's soccer team will play host to the Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters on Saturday (Sept. 14) in its first home and South Atlantic Conference match of the season. The match will be broadcast live online at www.cokercobras.com.

Coker, the preseason No. 5 pick in the SAC, enters the match with a 1-1 record. The Cobras defeated Clayton State 1-0 on Monday (Sept. 9). Giouliano Andrade scored the Cobras' lone goal, while Mark Nankervis picked up the clean sheet in the net.

Lincoln Memorial (1-2) was picked No. 2 in the SAC preseason poll, and is coming off a dominating 4-0 win over North Georgia. Senior striker Mario Pinto leads the Railsplitter offense with three goals and an assist through three matches.

Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m. following the conclusion of the women's match at 4:30 p.m. Tickets for both matches are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
