Coker's Stiefield Named Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week

High Point, N.C.- Coker College's Eric Stiefield has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas men's soccer Player of the Week during week number two in the 2011 season.  

The junior forward led the Cobras offensive explosion against local rival Francis Marion University on Saturday by scoring a hat trick in the opening 22 minutes of the game. Two of his goals came in the first eight minutes of the match as the Cobras would go on to win the game 6-0. Stiefield is the Cobras leading scorer and point leader with three goals and six points on the year.

Earlier in the week Coker lost a hard fought battle to No. 2 nationally ranked Rollins College 1-0 to push their record to 2-1 (0-0 conference) for the year.
