MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The Coker Cobras outshot the Pfeiffer Falcons 21-14, but the Cobras were unable to get a single shot past the Falcons’ goal keeper Alex Moreno, as Pfeiffer blanked Coker 3-0 in Conference Carolinas men’s soccer action on Wednesday afternoon.

Scoring started in the 19th minute with a rare own goal registered by the Falcons. Boo Tesh sent a hard cross from the end line towards the goal mouth that was deflected in by a Coker defender for the match’s first tally. With just under 10 minutes left in the half, Jeff Cannon flicked in his second of the season as Fahret Salihovic sent a cross over to the midfielder similar to the one earlier in the match when Pfeiffer went up 1-0.

Tesh and the Falcons added an insurance goal in the 80th minute for the second half’s only strike. Tesh worked a little give and go with Alex Landim (Brockton, MA) to put home his first of the year.

Coker out-shot Pfeiffer 6-5 on goal led by Storm Wishart’s (Brampton, ONTARIO) five shots, three on cage.

Coker returns to action for their final home match of the regular season against Erskine College at 4:30 p.m.
