HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker scored three goals in the final 12 minutes of play to defeat the Trojans of Mount Olive College 3-1 on Saturday night in Conference Carolinas men’s soccer action. The win improves the Cobras to 6-3-4 on the year and 3-1-2 in the conference.

Storm Wishart (Brampton, Ontario) and Daniel Shirzad (Orlando, Fla.) scored the Cobras three goals in the minutes of play to give Coker the win. Down 1-0 with just 12 minutes left in the match, Wishart netted the equalizer. Nine minutes later Shirzad put the Cobras on top with an assist from C.J. Telford (Brampton, Ontario). Just two minutes later, Wishart found the back of the net for his second time in the match to give the Cobras the 3-1 victory.

Tyler Vandevender scored the Trojan’s goal in the 29th minute of the match with an assist from Cort Harter.

James Sweeney (Huntingtown, Md.) ad two saves in the match for Coker, while Shane Parman had three for Mount Olive.

The Cobras return to action on Tuesday at Pfeiffer University. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
