HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Coker College men’s soccer took on Limestone College Saturday afternoon.  In a high scoring affair, the Saints defeated the Cobras 3-2.  The Cobras fell to 5-3-4 on the season, while going 2-1-2 in Conference Carolinas play.  Limestone moves to 8-3, 4-1 during conference play. 

Limestone controlled the style of play from the start, and freshman Jack Bailey (London, England) (13:38, A: Barber) led off the scoring early for the Saints.  Sophomore Joe Barber (Leeds, England) (40:21, A: Morris) would get the second marker to make the score 2-0.  Bailey (54:22, A: Smyth) added a second goal early in the 2nd half.  Senior goalkeeper H.B. Lockwood (Anderson, S.C.) made one save during the match.  The Saints outshot the Cobras 18-9.

Coker netted its first goal off the foot of freshman Jordan Snell (Palm Bay, FL) (50:15, A: Stiefield) making the score 2-1.  A flurry of shots in the 2nd half turned into a goal when freshman Storm Wishart (Brampton, Ontario) (63:50, A: Cuevas) put a shot by Lockwood.  Sophomore keeper James Sweeney (Huntingtown, M.D.) made eight saves in the match.

Coker will play at Mount Olive in their next match on October 16.
