HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Coker College took on Young Harris College early Saturday afternoon in a non-conference men’s soccer match.  The match ended in a 3-3 draw.  Coker took an early 2-0 lead in the first half with goals from freshman Jordan Snell (Palm Bay, Fla.)(8:15, A: Tyler Staub) and senior Daniel Shirzad (Orlando, Fla.)(39:44).

Young Harris College cut the lead in half with a goal from Jacob Connelly (40:13, A: Bechir).  Niall McCabe took six shots on the day for Young Harris, and also added an assist.  The Mountain Lions tied the game at two goals apiece with a goal from Mouhamed Bechir (50:47, A: McCabe).  Wezley Barnard, the keeper for Young Harris, made five saves during the match. 

Coker College scored its final goal of the match off the foot of freshman Atticus Lum (Advance, N.C.)(79:02, A: Noah Lascell).Sophomore keeper James Sweeney (Huntingtown, MD) made four saves during the match. 

It was Angel Rivera (87:56, A: Bechir) who put in the final equalizer for Young Harris. 

The Cobras next home match will be against Chowan University on October 2, at 6:00 p.m.  The match against Chowan will be Coker’s homecoming match.
