GAFFNEY, S.C.— The Limestone College men’s soccer team blanked Conference Carolinas-foe Coker College 3-0 on Tuesday at Saints Field in a clash of regionally-ranked teams.  Limestone entered the contest No. 10 in the latest NCAA Division II Southeast Region NSCAA/adidas rankings while the Cobras were ranked No. 5.

The Saints got on the board quickly as sophomore Keegan Ziada (Melbourne, Australia) tallied the contest’s first goal at the 2:09 mark with an assist from sophomore midfielder Lee Smyth (Somerset, England). Smyth assisted on all three Limestone goals.  Liam Garner (Nottinghamshire, England) put the Saints up 2-0 with a score at the match’s 16:37 mark.  Ziada gave Limestone a 3-0 advantage and closed out the scoring with a goal at in the 27th minute.

Limestone (8-3 overall/5-1 conference) outshot Coker (8-1-2/2-2-1 conference) 11-5 on the day.  Saint goalkeeper Mark Davidson (Middlesex, England) made one save while Cobras’ Ryan Lewis (Satellite Beach, Fla.) had four.

Both teams return to action on Saturday with conference contests.  Limestone visits Barton at 3 p.m. in Wilson, N.C. while Coker hosts Belmont Abbey at 4 p.m. in Hartsville, S.C.
