Murfreesboro, N.C. – The Coker men’s soccer team ended their first week of play with a 2-0 record thanks to a dominating 8-0 win over Chowan University on Sunday afternoon. Daniel Shrizad (Orlando, Fla.) had a hat trick and Tyler Senecal (Mt. Pleasant, N.C.) had two goals to pace the Cobras offense in the win.
In addition to Shrizad and Senecal’s goals, Mauricio Claros (Orlando, Fla.), Eric Stiefield (Eustis, Fla.) and Enrique Barrientos (Plano, Texas) each had a goal for Coker.
Goalkeeper James Sweeney (Huntingtown, Md.) earned the second win of his collegiate career and his first shutout in the victory.
Coker returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 2, as they travel to North Greenville. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
