Hartsville, SC- In their final home match seniors Sean Maupin and Justin Potter were unable to come out with a victory as they lost to the Queens University Royals 3-0 in CVAC soccer. Coker now drops to 3-13 overall, and 2-7 in the CVAC, whiles improves on their CVAC lead moving to 11-4 overall, and 8-2 in the CVAC.

 

Queens got the scoring going early, netting all three goals in the first half. The first came off the foot of Shane Burroughs, with the next two coming from Logan Berrier. Royal’s keeper, Dan Williams recorded the shutout with a little help from Brian Luksis.

 

Coker was only able to manage one shot on goal by Beeze Chastain, late in the second half.

 

It was a very physical match with each side recording more than 10 fouls.

 

The Cobras will play their final match of the season on Saturday, as they travel to Anderson University.
