Misenheimer, NC-Pfeiffer defeated Coker in CVAC men's soccer action on Wednesday afternoon.  The Falcons (7-6,5-4) controlled the game as they outshot the Cobras (3-11,2-5) 7-2 for the game and used a goal and an assist from Cihan Nuhoglu to win 3-0.

The game was a very hard fought midfield battle.  Pfeiffer led in time of possession and had the better chances but it wasn't until the ball bounced to Cihan Nuhoglu in the 25th minute for the Falcons to score.  Nuhoglu took the ball at the top of the penalty box and blasted it past the Cobra goalie to give Pfeiffer a 1-0 lead.  Neither team had a real good chance the rest of the half as the Falcons went into the halftime break leading 1-0.

The Falcons took control quickly in the second half as Matt Harris scored in the first minute with a shot from ten yards off an assist from Nuhoglu.

Ten minutes later Pfeiffer sealed it with their third goal.  Davi Lorenzo sent a beautiful ball over the Cobra defense to send Brad Sisk in one on one with the goalie.  Sisk beat the goalie and slid the ball into the open

net for a 3-0 lead.   The rest of the game was hard fought with many fouls

and three yellow cards in the last thirteen minutes,

David Porley and John Britt combined in the Falcon goal for the shutout.

Pfeiffer travels to Barton on Saturday for a 3:00 pm. Game, while the Cobras face Belmont Abbey also on Saturday.
