CHARLOTTE, NC — The  Queen's University of Charlotte Men's Soccer team gives Coach Norchi win #200 in convincing fashion.  They beat Coker College 3-1 in front of Queens crowd of over 100 students, parents, faculty and staff.

Queens jumped out to an early 1-0 lead as Freshman Thomas Righi (Asheville, NC) scored off a broken play in front of the net and found a great ball from Matt Herbstritt.  "He was is a great place at the right time," says Coach Norchi.  "It was a heads up play."

Queens took the 1-0 lead into the break.  The second half started just as the first; physical and intense.  A Coker team came into the match as a huge underdog with nothing to lose.  Queens looked at the opportunties that a desperate tema gives them and they took advantage.

Queens opened things up to a 3-0 lead when Eric Blevins (Bonaire, GA) was fouled in the box and awarded a penalty kick.  Demetrius Donald (Knoxville, TN) finished what Blevins had started.  30 seconds later, Matt Herbstritt sealed the deal for Queens off a well placed ball from Blevins.

Down by three with under 10 minutes to play, Coker's Matthew Jarrett/Roswell, GA, scored off a long ball placed behind the defense.

The Royals outshot the Cobras 15-8 and were rewarded 10 corners to Cokers 3.  Next up for the Royals is Erskine College, while Coker will host Mount Olive at the Coker Soccer Field on Saturday, September 24, at 3 p.m.
