Men's Lacrosse Falls at Lander in Non-Conference Action

GREENWOOD, S.C. - Coker University men's lacrosse fell at Lander in non-conference action on Wednesday (Feb. 23) by a score of 21-8.

Justin Beighey paced the Cobras with a career-high five goals in the game, while Augie Ford, Ryan Bass and Will Habel also scored for Coker. Cal Gibson dished out a team-high three assists in the game, while Beighey, Zyaire Marshall, Caden Gore, Andrew van Vollenhoven and Habel also helped on Coker goals in the game. Gibson registered a career-high 10 ground balls while Nate Allan also registered a career-high in ground balls with eight. 11 others registered ground balls in the game, while four Cobras each caused one turnover in the game. Ethan Hofert made 10 saves in the game, while Jonas May also registered two saves in the game. Lou Webb also appeared in the cage for Coker in the game.

Coker returns to action on Saturday (Feb. 26) at Barton in non-conference action. Opening faceoff is set for 4:00 p.m. from Wilson, N.C., with video and live stats available at www.cokercobras.com.
