Cobras Drop SAC Matchup With Catawba

SALISBURY, N.C. - The Coker College men's lacrosse team dropped their first South Atlantic Conference game of the season on Saturday (Mar. 16) after opening conference play with a pair of wins, falling at Catawba 12-6.

Ethan Irizarry led the Coker attack with three goals while Joe Venazio tallied a goal and three assists on the night. Jonah Robertson and Lucas Hediger were the other Cobras that managed to find the back of the net. Ryan Bass led the Coker defense with a pair of caused turnovers and Justin Hopkins and Emmanuel Adjaye both recorded one caused turnover. Chris Hagy made 13 saves between the pipes, with 10 coming in the first half.

The Cobras will be back in action on Wednesday (Mar. 20) for a South Atlantic Conference matchup at home against Newberry at 7:00 PM.
