Cobras Fall to Crusaders in Season Opener

TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's lacrosse team opened up their 2018 season at North Greenville and fell to the Crusaders 12-6 Saturday (Feb. 10) afternoon in non-conference action.
Ethan Irizarry, Denton Wilks, Brooks Long, Joe Venazio, and Justin Hopkins all found the back of the net in the loss.
Irizarry led the Cobras with two goals, while Wilks and Hopkins tallied two points each with one goal and one assist. DeShaun Ormond, Chris Hagy, Stephen Sperbeck, Charles Stafford, and Hopkins collected two ground balls each.
The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday (Feb. 17) when they travel to Chowan to take on the Hawks. Opening faceoff is set for 3 p.m.
