LaClair Receives First-Ever Lacrosse Honor

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – April 20, 2012 – Coker College lacrosse player Keith LaClair (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) was named to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference Third Team. He is Coker's first player to be honored for an award in lacrosse.

LaClair, a freshman, played in all 16 games for the Cobras. He tallied 40 points in the inaugural season – 31 goals and nine assists. His goal total was fourth-best in the conference and tops on the team, and he tied for third on the team with nine assists.

"Keith is the ultimate team player, and this honor is a credit to him as well as the team," said head coach Tony Smith. "He would be the first to say that his teammates were just as important in him being honored, which is a testament to his unselfishness. Keith is a talented player who has a bright future in Coker lacrosse, and I'm happy he was honored with this award."

The Conference Carolinas All-Conference Teams were determined by vote from each head coach of participating league institutions. Awards were presented at the league banquet.
