
Coker Announces Spring Schedule
David Coker announces Men's and Women's golf spring schedule.
HARTSVILLE, SC. - First year Head Coach David Coker has announced the spring schedule for both men's and women's golf Tuesday afternoon. The women's schedule features four meets, as the men will travel for five.
MENS' SCHEDULE:
Coker will begin play the first week of February when the travel to Greenville, SC to play in the Bearcat Spring Invite Tournament on Feb. 3rd and 4th. This will be the first spring tournament since last years national tournament finish that saw Coker make a push at the National Championship.
The Cobras will return to action the following weekend, Feb. 10th and 11th, when they travel to St. Augustine, FL to play at St. Johns Golf and Country Club in the LMU Spring Kickoff. Following this two day event, the Cobras will have a week off before hitting the road again.
Wrapping up the month of February, the Cobras will play in the Barton College Spring Bulldog Clash on of Feb. 24th and 25th. This tournament will be played in Myrtle Beach, SC at the Caledonia Golf Club.
The first two weeks of March allows the Cobras to have a slight break before traveling to Monroe, NC on Mar. 24th and 25 to play in the Wingate Ralph Hargett Memorial Tournament. This tournament will be played at Rolling Hills Country Club.
Tennessee River Rumble will be the final regular season match for the Cobras, as the travel to Lenoir City TN on Mar. 24th and 25th. Wind River Golf Club will be the location of the Cobras final match.
Following Completion of the River Rumble Tournament, the Cobras will compete for the SAC Championship in Greenvills, SC on April 13th through 15th. The conferences tournament is played at The Preserve at Verdae Greens.
WOMEN'S SCHEDULE:
The Cobras get their season underway the last week of February when the travel to Mt. Pleasant, SC on Feb. 24th and 25th. They will compete in the Limestone Lowtide Inercollegiate Tournament at Dunes West Golf Club. This will be the first spring meet after competing in four fall tournaments.
March will be a busy month, as the Cobras travel to Monroe, NC to play in the Wingate Jerry Surratt Invitational on Mar. 10th and 11th. Stonebridge Golf Course will be the sight of the second meet of the year.
The next weekend, Coker will head to Okatie, SC to compete in the USCB Women's Oldfield Intercollediate Tournament. This event will be held on Mar. 17th and 18th, and will take place at Oldfield Club.
March 24th and 25th will be the final regular season meet for the women's team in the spring, as they travel to Greenwood, SC to compete in the Lander Lady Bearcat Spring Invitational. Greenwood Country Club will host the Cobras in the season finale before they gear up for the SAC Tournament.
April 6th through 8th will be the SAC Tournament. The Preserve at Verdae Greens in Greenville, SC will be the host sight as Coker will compete for the chance at becoming SAC Champions.
