Men's Golf Competes against Talented Field at the Hurricane Invitational
The Cobras compete against a stacked field.
The men just had an average performance in a field that included seven of the top 17 D2 teams in the country. Senior Killian Ryan had three birdies in a round of 2-under 70 and senior Fred Tindale posted three birdies and hit all 18 greens in regulation in a round of 72. Fred finished 28th after three rounds at +2 and Killian was 49th in a field of 90 at +5.
Junior Jonathan Hallinger shot 76, freshman Max Barclay carded at 77 and junior Caleb Tidd had an 83.
"Five teams, led by North Georgia at 14-under, shot under par for the tournament and we were 24-over," head coach John Hackney said. "We had four double bogeys and several of our guys struggled putting, which led to our 7-over 295 score today. We have immense talent. The day is coming soon when we fire on all cylinders and put up some really low numbers."
