Men’s Golf in Second after Day One of Barton Intercollegiate

WILSON, N.C. – The Coker University men's golf team completed the first day of the Barton l Intercollegiate at the Wilson Country Club in Wilson, N.C. today (Monday, Mar. 22).

Coker had a strong two rounds on the day, and currently sits in second place in the tournament with two Cobras tied for fifth. 

Coleman Bess and Killian Ryan are currently tied for fifth place. Bess shot a 69 (+1) in round one and a 66 (-2) in round two. Ryan shot a 65 (-3) and a 70 (+2) on the day. 

Jonathan Hallinger sits in 17th place after shooting a 67 (-1) and a 73 (+5) on the day. Caleb Tidd sits in 23rd after shooting a 71 (+3) and a 72 (+4) in rounds one and two. Fred Tindale is in 29th after shooting a 79 (+11) in round one and coming back to shoot a 66 (-2) in round two. 

Individually, JJ Cotts is in 46th place shooting a 149 (+13) and Frans Axelsson is in 60th shooting a 160 (+24).

The Cobras will be back in action tomorrow, Tuesday (Mar. 23) Tee time is set for 9:00 a.m. with a shotgun start. Live coverage can be found at www.cokercobras.com.
