Third Round of Southern Tide Intercollegiate Canceled Due To Weather

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Due to weather, the third round of the Southern Tide Intercollegiate at the Green Valley Country Club has been canceled. The Coker University men's golf team finished the tournament in 10th place.

Nicholas Beiers led the Cobras by shooting a 148 (+4), finishing strong in the second round by shooting one over par (73). Beiers birdied on hole number two in both rounds. Killian Ryan was just two stokes behind at 150 (+6), including a strong first round performance in which he had three birdies on the front nine.  Coleman Bess was tied for first place after round one with a card of 71 (-1). Nick Waller improved by seven strokes in the second round, shooting a 75 (+3). Fred Tindale also improved his card by seven strokes in the second round with a total of 77 (+5). In his second collegiate tournament for the Cobras, JJ Cots continued to get better as the day went along, improving his first round score by three strokes, and shot for birdie on the second hole in round two.

The Cobras will be back in action on Monday (Mar. 23) when they travel to Greenwood, S.C. for the Bearcat Invitational. Live results can be found at www.cokercobras.com.
