St. Augustine, Florida – The Coker University men's golf team completed their first tournament of the season on Tuesday (Feb. 11) at the 2020 Spring Kick-Off Intercollegiate at the St. John's Golf & Country Club.
Killian Ryan and Coleman Bess led the Cobras, as they both shot a 227 (+11) for the tournament. Ryan had a great round three performance, totaling four birdies with three of them coming on the front nine. Meanwhile Bess had three birdies himself in round three. His best score came in round two, when he shot one under par (71).
In round three, Fred Tindale had his best round of the 2020 Spring Kick-Off when he shot for 77 (+5). For both days, Tindale finished at 235 (+19) with six birdies. Nick Waller shot an 81 (+9) for round three, finishing strong on the back nine by shooting a 38 (+2) with a birdie on hole 12. Nicholas Beiers also did well in round three, shooting 80 (+8) while sinking birdies on holes eight and 17.
The Cobras will be back in action on Monday (Feb. 24) when they travel to Albany, Georgia for round one of the Hurricane Invitational. Live results can be found at www.cokercobras.com.
