Men's Golf Posts Strong Second Round, Sit in a Tie For 13th After Day One of Bearcat Classic

GREENWOOD, S.C. - The Coker College men's golf team sits in a tie for 13th after their opening two rounds at the Bearcat Classic on Monday (Mar. 25). The Cobras opened the day with a 300 (+12) as a team in the first round before bouncing back over the second 18 of the day to shoot 296 (+8) as a team.

Ethan Cairns led the Cobras individually in a tie for 32nd. Carins opened the day with a 75 (+3) before rebounding in the second round to shoot a 71 (-1), the only Cobra under par for the day. Haydon Norwood was the next Cobra on the leaderboard in a tie for 63rd as he fired off rounds of 76 (+4) and 74 (+2). Both Daniel Graves and Zachary Herold finished one stroke back of Norwood for the day as they ended the day in a tie for 69th. Graves carded rounds of 75 (+3) and 76 (+4) while Herold came in with a 76 (+4) and a 75 (+3) for the day. Coleman Bess rounded out the day in a tie for 75th after he shot a 74 (+2) and a 78 (+6).

The Cobras will hit the course once again on Tuesday (Mar. 26) for the final round of the Bearcat Classic.
