Lee Finishes Strong in Second Round at Division II Southeast Regional
Wanjoo Lee plays near-perfect back nine
CONOVER, N.C.- Representing Coker men's golf as an independent participant, Wanjoo Lee worked a near-perfect par back nine, carding a second round 77 at the Division II Southeast Regional on Tuesday, May 8 at the Rock Barn Country Club. Lee shot an opening round 76 on Monday.
Wanjoo Lee took to the Rock Barn Country Club for round two of the Division II Southeast Regional, signing off on a second round 77. Lee opened the front nine with back-to-back bogeys and then responded with pars on the par-three third and par-five fourth. After dropping two more bogeys on five and six, Lee again scored back-to-back pars at the par-four seventh and eighth, before a double-bogey to close out the front nine.
At the turn, Lee put on the blinders as he shot a near-perfect back nine. The Navy and Gold Junior strung together six-straight pars before a bogey at the par-four 16th. Lee bounced back with a birdie at the par-three 17th and closed out his round with a par at 18.
