Cobras Claim Fifth At Bearcat Classic; Ingle Finishes Sixth Individually

GREENWOOD, S.C. – The Coker College men's golf team shot a final round of 300 on Tuesday (Mar. 28) at the Bearcat Golf Classic. The Cobras finished with a team score of 891, which was good enough for a fifth-place showing on the team leaderboard.

Taylor Ingle was the frontrunner for the Navy and Gold, backing up rounds of 71 and 74 with a final round of 73 for a 218 tournament score and a sixth-place finish on the individual leaderboard. Will Bundy finished in the top-25, shooting rounds of 71, 75 and 77 for a 223 54-hole score. Wanjoo Lee and Ethan Cairns both finished with three-round score of 227. Lee improved 17 spots in the final round, firing a closing 73, while Cairns signed off on a final round of 77. Matt Moninghoff rounded things out for the Cobras, carding a final round of 81.

Lander, the host, took home the team title. The Bearcats shot rounds of 295, 289 and 287 for a 871 tournament score. Michal Pospisil cruised to a nine-shot victory, shooting rounds of 70, 67 and 70.

The Cobras will have a lengthy layoff, teeing it up next at the South Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Championship, which begins on Sunday (Apr. 23).
