Bundy Tied for 23rd After Day One of NCAA Regional Tournament

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, FL. – Coker College men's golfer Will Bundy shot an opening round of 73 (+1) on day one of the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional Men's Golf Championship Tournament, leaving him in a tie for 23rd on the individual leaderboard.

Bundy, who teed off hole No. 10, bogeyed hole No. 13 and rebounded with a birdie on No. 16 to make the turn at even-par 37. A birdie on the par-five first vaulted the junior to one-under par, however, three bogeys on holes two through seven dropped him to two-over with two holes left. A birdie on eight and a par on nine left him with a closing nine 36 and an opening round of 73.

Chandler Blanchet of West Florida and Manuel Torres of Lynn are atop the individual leaderboard, after shooting rounds of 65.

Bundy will begin round two at 8:20 a.m. on Tuesday (May 3) when he tees off hole one at the Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort. Click here to keep up with the action.
