Coker's Bundy Earns NCAA DII Regional Bid

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College men's golfer Will Bundy has been selected to participate in the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Super Regional Championship Tournament beginning on Monday (May 2) in Howey-In-The-Hill, Fla.

Bundy, who captured the 2016 South Atlantic Conference individual title, has compiled a 72.74 in 27 rounds. The junior's season scoring average is the fourth-best in Coker men's golf history and is tied for No. 42 in all of DII men's golf. The All-SAC second team selection had eight top-25 finishes and three top-ten finishes in the 10 tournaments the Navy and Gold played. His best round of the season was a six-under par final round of 66 at the University of North Georgia Invitational. His stellar closing round of 66 is tied for second lowest single round in Coker men's golf history.

Bundy is the first individual to qualify for the NCAA Regional Tournament since Jake Murphy qualified back in the 2010-11 season. The Cobras last qualified as a team in the 2011-12 season.

Will is a junior business major from Bennettsville, S.C. He is the son of Kim and Billy Bundy.

Bundy will begin play at the NCAA DII South/Southeast Super Regional Championship Tournament on Monday (May 2) at the Mission Inn Resort and Club.
