
Cobras Capture Twelfth at Hargett Memorial Invitational
The Coker College men's golf team finished in 12th place at the Hargett Memorial Invitational.
MONROE, N.C. – After opening rounds of 297 in the first 36 holes, the Coker College men's team shot a final round score of 298 on Monday afternoon (Mar. 14). The three-round total of 892 left the Cobras in 12th place at the Hargett Memorial Invitational, hosted by Wingate University.
Wanjoo Lee led the way for the Navy and Gold, firing rounds of 75,73 and 71. His three-round score of 219 left him in a tie for 27th individually. Will Bundy and John Duke finished with tournament scores of 223 and 225. Bundy signed off on rounds of 73, 76 and 74, while Duke carded rounds of 74, 75 and 76. Jonathan Sundstrom finished the two-day tournament with scores of 75, 73 and 78, while Ethan Cairns rounded out the Cobras with rounds of 75, 76 and 77.
Lenoir-Rhyne University took home the team victory, finishing with a team score of 851. Brad Hawkins of Tusculum College was the individual medalist after rounds of 67, 68 and 73.
The Cobras will be back in action on Monday (Mar. 28) when they travel to Greenwood, S.C. for the Bearcat Invitational.
