Cobras In Sixth Place After Day One of Armstrong Pirate Invitational

SAVANNAH, GA. – The Coker College men's golf team is in sixth place at the Armstrong Pirate Men's Invitational after rounds of 301 and 294 on day one (Feb. 22).

Will Bundy led the charge for the Navy and Gold, posting rounds of 71 and 70 for a 141 (-3) two-round total. His performance on the opening day has him in a tie for third place individually. Ethan Cairns rebounded from a morning round of 79 with an afternoon score of 71 for a 150 tournament score. Jonathan Sundstrom and Wanjoo Lee both finished with a two-round score of 152. Sundstrom fired rounds of 72 and 80, while Lee shot rounds of 79 and 73. John Duke rounded things out for the Cobras, signing off on rounds of 81 and 84.

Flagler College is atop the team leaderboard, finishing with a team score of 570 on day one. Barrett Waters of West Georgia is the individual overnight leader. He carded rounds of 71 and 66.

Round three will begin Tuesday morning (Feb. 23) at 8:30 a.m. from the Savannah Quarters Country Club. The Cobras tee off on holes 9-13.
