Coker Drops Road Contest At Lincoln Memorial
Cobras drop nationally ranked matchup with Railsplitters
HARROGATE, TN. - Coker dropped Saturday afternoons nationally ranked SAC matchup with Lincoln Memorial 109-82. Coker was led by freshman Max Hurray on the night, who poured in a team high 17 points on the night, while Glenn Bynum Jr. poured in 16 of his own. The Railsplitters got an exceptional perfromance from freshman Elyjah Freeman who led all scorers with 35.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The two teams got out to a hot start, as Coker led at the first media timeout 11-10. Both teams saw early three pointers fall, while they each received contributions from numerous players. The Cobras, continued to show fight throughout the first half, as Max Hurray drained a three pointer at the 12 minute mark to close the Railsplitter lead to one at 19-18. After the second media timeout, Lincoln Memorial went on an 8-0 run, and never gave up the lead the remainder of the night. The Railsplitter's saw their lead grow just before the half to 14 after a Freeman tip at the buzzer to hold a 53-39 lead at the half. The Cobras 39 halftime points was a season low for point of points in a half all season. At the break the Cobras shot 41.9% from the field while netting 28.6% from behind the arc.
In the second half, it was Lincoln Memorial who continued to extend the lead they built just before the break. The Cobras continued to battle througout the second half, as Murray, Bynum Jr., and Moultrie all scored the majority of their points in the second frame. Lincoln Memorial pulled away over the course of the second half, and ultimately took down Coker 109-82.
Coker shot 50.0% from the field on the night while draining 10 three pointers at 38.5%. Hurray has now scored 10+ points in four consecutive games for the Cobras. Jonah Vaysbakh earned his first career start at Coker, logging 14 minutes. Saturday evenings game was the first time in Coker Men's Basketball history in which both teams were nationally ranked.
