
Men's Basketball Ranked 18th In Latest DII NABC Coaches Poll
Cobras Ranked For Fourth Consecutive Week, Come In At 18th.
HARTSVILLE, SC. - Coker comes in at 18th in this weeks NABC Coaches Poll following its two wins in the Embry-Riddle Holiday Tournament.
Coker dropped their first game of the season to Lenoir-Rhyne (21), before bouncing back over Christmas break taking down Lees-McRae and Mount Olive. The Cobras used a second half comeback in game one of the tournament to top a Lees-McRae team who held the Cobras to just 89 points, a season low. On day two, Coker exploded early and blew past Mount Olive 118-106.
This marks the fourth consecutive week that Coker has been ranked in the Top 25 of the NABC Coachees Poll, as they first saw their name in the week three poll at 24.
In addtion to their top 25 ranking by the NABC, the Cobras are also ranked 24th in the D2CSC Poll.
The Cobras currently sit top 5 nationally in the following stats: points per game, assists per game, bench points per game, 3 pointers made per game, and 3 point attempts per game. Coker is shooting 50.2% from the field while adding a 40.2% from behind the arc.
Coker returns to action Saturday, January 4th when they take on Carson-Newman who is currently receiving votes in the D2CSC Poll. Tipoff is set for 4pm.
