
Hurray Pours In 21, As Coker Extends Win Streak
Coker takes down Tusculum 106-83 to earn 9th straight victory.
HARTSVILLE, SC. - Max Hurray broke the 20 point mark for the second time in his freshman campgain, as Coker took down Tusculum Saturday night. The Cobras turned Tusculum over 21 times, earning 20 fast break points, in route to another SAC victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Coker handled Tusculum's zone defense perfectly to start the game, as they drilled four three pointers within the first two minutes. All four makes were made by different Coker players, causing the Pioneers to take an early timeout. The Cobras built on this fast start, holidng a 27-14 lead halfway through the first half. The Cobras poured in 11 three pointers in the first half on their way to a 47-36 halftime lead. At the break, Coker shot 51.4% from the field, while shooting 50% from behind the arc. The Pioneers wouldn't go away however as they drained 40% of their field goals, and made 13 first half free throws.
In the second frame, it was Tusculum who came out hot. They quickly erased Coker's first half lead, bringing the game to 52-50 at the under 16 media timeout. For the next five minutes, the two teams traded baskets, and Tusculum eventually took the lead at the 12 minute mark. After the Pioneers took the lead, senior Sebastain Cole shifted the momentum back in favor of the Cobras. He recorded eight of the next 10 Cobra points, as they went on a 10-0 run to take control of the game. Coker then turned to its next five players, who continued to extend the lead, never looking back. Over the course of the remaining six and a half minutes, the Cobras extended their lead to as many as 26 points in route to earning their ninth consecutive victory.
The Cobras shot 54.5% from the field Saturday night, adding 19 made three pointers in route to a 23 points win. Coker has now scored 100 points or more in all nine games this season, while holding teams to under that mark in six. Coker assisted on 29 of the teams baskets, a stat they currently rank 2nd in the nation in. All 14 players for the Cobras saw game action tonight, with 11 of them recording one point or more.

Coker travels to Lenoir-Rhyne Wednesday, with a tipoff set for 12pm. Coker and Lenoir-Rhyne currently sit 1st and 3rd in SAC standings ahead of Wednesday's matchup.
