Cobras Suffer Heartbreaking Road Loss To Clafin

Orangeburg, SC - Coker University's men's basketball team put up a valiant fight against Claflin University but ultimately fell short in a close 98-95 loss. Despite the disappointment of the defeat, Coker showcased their talent and determination throughout the game.

The first half was a high-scoring affair, with both teams trading baskets and putting on an offensive showcase. Coker managed to take a narrow 52-49 lead heading into halftime, thanks to the scoring prowess of Andre Leavell and Mahmoud Bangura. Leavell contributed 16 points, while Bangura impressed with 34 points, including five three-pointers.

The Coker bench also stepped up, with Anthony Burch and Marvin Brumfield making their presence felt on the court. Burch added nine points, while Brumfield chipped in with 13 points, making a significant impact on both ends of the floor.
