Coker Comes Up Short Against Anderson on Wednesday Night

Anderson, SC - The Coker University Men's Basketball Team dropped their Wednesday night game to Anderson. 

Mahmoud Bangura, a Freshman from Lorton, VA, dropped a hefty 21 points for the night. This is a personal high for Bangura for his first season being a Cobra. Following behind, Jordan Jones scored an euqally impressive 18 points against the Trojans while Zavier Measmer collected eight. Five other Cobras registered the remaining 22 points. As a team, Coker shot 49.2 percent from the field on 30-61 shooting.  Coker hauled down 25 rebounds for the night, Bangura leading once again with eight. Tate Mulkey had five rebounds throughout the game, followed by Jamie Muldowney (3), Jordan Jones (3), and Zavier Measmer (3). Jones posted six of the 10 assists for Coker, Mulkey and Measmer combining the remaining four. 

Garrett Denbow collected a game high of 32 points for the Trojans.

The Cobras will return to the court on Saturday (Jan. 21) against Tusculum. Tip off is set for 4:00 PM in Hartsville, SC. Live-streaming and stats will be available at www.cokercobras.com
