Cobras Fall to Bears on the Road

Hickory, NC - The Coker University Men's Basketball Team fell short on the road Wednesday night at Lenoir-Rhyne on Wednesday (Jan. 11).

Shooting 4-7 from behind the three-point line, Tate Mulkey raked in 14 points, subsequently leading the Cobras in their effort against the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears. Mulkey was closely followed by Marvin Brumfield (9) and Glenn Bynum Jr. (8) who combined for 17 points during the game. Eight other Cobras brought in the remaining 28 points. As a team, Coker shot 39.6 percent from the field and 72.2 percent from the foul line.

Tate Mulkey (4), Xavier Moultrie (4), and Jamie Muldowney (3) snatched 11-23 rebounds to help Coker on the defensive end. Coker collected 15 assists, eight of those had by Jordan Jones. The Cobras were also able to get four steals throughout the game. 

L.J. McCoy had a game high of 21 points for the bears. 

The Cobras will return to the court on Wednesday the 18th at Anderson University. Tip off is set for 7:30 PM in Anderson, SC. Live streaming and stats will be available at www.cokercobras.com
