Cobras Top Indians in Road Game

Salisbury, NC - The Coker University Men's Basketball Team beat Catawba 80-77 on Wednesday night (Dec. 14th).

Marvin Brumfield, with hot hands in the paint, dropped 22 points to lead the game and the Cobras to victory. Tate Mulkey and Jordan Jones combined for an equally hefty 27 points, while Glenn Bynum Jr. had 11 points of his own. Five other Cobras helped in putting the game away with the remaining 20 points. The Cobras shot, 54.7 percent from the field, 28.6 percent from the three-point line, and 66.7 percent from behind the foul line.

Out of the 24 rebounds, Jordan Jones and Tate Mulkey individually snatched four rebounds to lead the team. Seven other Cobras also registered rebounds for the game. Jones, being the playmaker of the game, had eight assists throughout the game. Measmer, Mulkey, Bynum Jr. and Muldowney also contributed to the total 19 assists. 

Catawba's, Adrian Scarborough, had a team high of 18 points for the night.

The Cobras will return to the court on Saturday as they host UVA Wise. Tip-off will be at 2:00 PM. Live streaming and stats will be available at www.cokercobras.com
