The Cobras Come Up Short Against Catawba

Hartsville, SC - The Coker University Men's Basketball Team fell 74-71 to the Catawba Indians on Wednesday night (Dec. 3rd).  The Cobras took possession with 3.4 seconds remaining and could not get a good look at the basket.  

For the first time of his college career, Marvin Brumfield lead the Cobras with 17 points. Tate Mulkey racked up 15 points of his own, followed by Demar Anderson with 13, and Jordan Jones with 11.  

The Cobras shot 46.6 percent from the field and 41.1 percent from the three-point line.  Brumfield led the team with 5 rebounds on the night.  The Cobras forced the Indians into 18 turnovers.  

Catawba's, Adrian Scarborough, had the game high in points, scoring 20 on the night.   As a team, Catawba shot 51.9 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from behind the arc.  

The Cobras will return to the court on Sunday (Dec. 11th) at Wingate. The game is scheduled to tip at 2:00 PM and live streaming and stats will be available at www.cokercobras.com
