Coker Defeats Mount Olive in the 45 Second Classic

Wilson, N.C. - Coker University Men's Basketball Team bounces back to defeat Mount Olive on Saturday (Nov. 19th), bringing their record to 4-1.

Although Sophomore Guard Demar Anderson led the team with 25 points, it was Jordan Jones who drained the final bucket with five seconds left in the contest and finished the game. Four Even though Anderson and Jones each attained double digits in points, six other Cobras added to the total of 96 points, Zavier Measmer collecting a hefty 18 points of his own. 

The Cobras also ripped down 30 rebounds, Anderson leading once again with 10. Michael Brown of Mount Olive brought in the game high for Saturday's match, dropping 26 points and 10-14 from the field. Even with Brown's heavy offensive push, the Cobras remained steady and composed in the midst of trailing the final minutes. This composure on the court and at the line, shooting 82.6 percent rang in another victory for the Cobras.
