Coker drops Regional Road Game to Barton

Wilson, N.C. - On Friday (Nov. 18th) the Coker Cobras were unable to overcome the Barton Bulldogs in the final minutes of overtime despite an early lead.

Anderson, Bangura, Mulkey, and Jones drained bucket after bucket, scoring over half of the Cobra's 77 points and putting Coker in sight of another win. Despite heavy pressure from the Cobras, Barton battled right back and had a game high of 27 points from Marcus Boykin. This battle continued throughout the whole game, fed by a boisterous crowd and energizing each team leading into a fiery overtime. Unlike Coker's recent games, they shot less than 50 percent from the field and only 35 percent from beyond the three point arc. Even with the out of the ordinary shooting percentages from the Cobras, they continued to maintain a steady defense, racking up 30 rebounds and nine steals.

The Cobras will be returning to the court on Saturday (Nov. 19th) against Mount Olive in their second game of the 45 Second Classic. Tip off will take place at 12:00 PM and all live stat and streaming will be available at www.cokercobras.com
