HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker University men's basketball team won a 52-51 nail-biter over visiting Limestone Wednesday night (Jan. 6) in South Atlantic Conference action.

The Cobras gained their first lead before the game even tipped off, when Chandler Lindsey hit a free throw resulting from an administrative technical foul assessed to Limestone. The Cobras would build a 14-4 lead through the first eight minutes of the half, before extending their lead to 15 with eight and a half minutes to play in the first. Limestone would get the lead back to single digits over the next few minutes, before a Lindsey layup at the horn put the Cobras up 26-15 headed to the break.

The Cobras held a 33-20 lead through the first media timeout of the second half, before the Saints would get back within single digits with 12 minutes to play. The lead would fluctuate between single and double digits over the next few minutes, as the Saints would continue to chip away and get within six with five minutes to play.
