Malcolm Kennedy Named January SPC Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Month
HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Coker University sophomore men’s basketball player Malcolm Kennedy was named the January SPC Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Month, announced today (Tuesday, Feb. 4).
HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Coker University sophomore men's basketball player Malcolm Kennedy was named the January SPC Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Month, announced today (Tuesday, Feb. 4).
Kennedy helped the Cobras to three victories in the month of January, with wins over Tusculum (67-58, Jan. 11), at UVA-Wise (81-77, Jan. 18) and at home against Newberry (74-72, Jan. 22). He posted double-digit scoring efforts in six of seven games, including a career-high 30 points against UVA-Wise. He also was Coker's leading scorer in three games in the month of January. Also for the month, he totaled 21 rebounds, 14 assists and 11 steals.
The York, S.C. native is the son of Kenneth and Crystal Kennedy, and is undecided on a major.
The Cobras are back in action tomorrow night (Wednesday, Feb. 5) at Queens (N.C.). Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m., with video and live stats available at www.cokercobras.com.
