Coker Falls To Converse Sunday
Valkyries score two first half goals to help power past Cobras.

Spartansburg, SC. - Converse scored two goals in the first half in route to taking down Coker 4-1 in Sunday's SAC match. Kaiya Sabur scored the Cobras lone goal of the match, her first of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Coker had the first chance in Sunday's match, when Aleena Januchowksi ripped a shot wide of the goal two minutes in.
The Valkyries responded to the Cobras shot with a goal in the sixth minute courtesy of Catalina Pistaccio.
Camille Berger took a shot three mintues later, but it was the goalie for Converse making the save to keep the Cobras off the board.
Emily Whitlow added a goal for Converse just five minutes before the half to double the Valkyries lead heading into the break.
The Cobras continued to show signs of life early in the third quarter. Camille Berger lined up a corner, where Januchowksi and Berger both had shots get turned away in the 35th minute.
In the fourth quarter Coker finally broke through. Kaiya Sabur put her first goal of the season in the back of the net to cut the Converse lead to 2-1.
The Valkyries added two additional goals over the last 12 minutes to eventually pull away from Coker to earn a hard fought conference victory.
