Gaffney, Sc. - Limestone jumped out to an early 3-0 lead through the first quarter, and continued strong performance to power past Coker Thursday night. Skylar Ponik added the Cobras lone goal on the night to pace Coker.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Limestone jumped out to an early 1-0 lead seven minutes into the first quarter, when Katie Detorre placed her thrid goal on the year in the back of the net.
The Saints added two more in the quarter to hold a demanding lead through the first period.
Coker continued to show fight as they got a corner in the second quarter, but was unable to put it home.
In the third the Cobras were able to finally break through, when Skylar Ponik scored her second goal of the season on an assist from Kelcie Gannon.
Limestone added two additonal goals after that, and finished off a 9-1 victory.

The Cobras return to action on Sunday, as the travel to Converse. The match is set for 1:00.
