Coker Field Hockey Comes Up Short on Senior Day vs. Belmont Abbey

In a defensive heavy game, the Coker University Field Hockey team came up short to Belmont Abbey by the final of 2-0.

The game was a defensive showdown between both teams, with both goalies combining for 16 saves combined. Emma Reininga had 7 saves on the day for the Cobras, while Chloe Parker had 9 for the Crusaders.

In terms of shots, both teams combined for 32 shots in total. Belmont Abbey had 18 shots with 9 of them on goal, on the other hand Coker had 14 shots with 9 of those shots being on goal. Sarah Schumacher and Alexis Harris had both goals for Belmont Abbey, while Kaiya Sabur led the Cobras in shots taking 10 shots with 7 of those shots being on goal.

Before the game, Coker was able celebrate Senior Day honoring four of their seniors, Kaiya Sabur, Emma Reininga, Coda Fisher, & Lydia Donahower.

Overall, the game was extremely competitve on both sides, with both teams playing strong defense and making crutial stops in big moments in the game.
