Coker Cobras Overtake Newberry Wolves in Final Minute of Senior Day Game

The Cobras struck in the first five minutes when Kelsey Sithole scored from a fast break, giving them a quick lead over the Wolves. Coker then doubled their lead in the next two minutes with another goal from Kaiya Sabur, taking their advantage to 2-0 in the first quarter. Although down 2-0, the Wolves answered back with three goals of their own in the second quarter giving them a 3-2 lead over the Cobras. The Cobras continued to push and Kaiya Sabur (assisted from Kelsey Sithole) was able to bring the game to a 3-3 tie. Neither team scored until the final minute of the game, Kelsey Sithole finding the back of the net and bringing home a well deserved win for the the Coker Field Hockey Team. 

Coker totaled six shots and seven penalty corners during the match. Sithole and Sabur led the team with two shots individually and was followed by Britt Kabo and Indy Echteld, who each had one. Emma Reininga picked up six saves throughtout the duration of fourty-five minutes while Mar Hondeman picked up one through fifteen minutes.
