Kelsey Gibbons Named SPC Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Month

HARTSVILLE, S.C. -- Coker College field hockey goalie, Kelsey Gibbons has been named the SPC Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Month for November.

Gibbons helped guide her team to an appearance in the South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Quarterfinals with a dominating four-game stretch in which she allowed just two goals over four games.

The freshman from Cortland, New York posted season-best numbers in November with a 0.50 goals against average, a .900 save percentage, and two shutouts. She finished the season ranked third in South Atlantic Conference Carolinas in goals against (29), third in goals against average (2.23), and third in wins (6).

Kelsey is a chemistry major, and is the daughter of Michael and Michelina Gibbons.
