Cobras Inch Closer to Playoffs With Win Over SUNY Canton

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker College Hearthstone Varsity team played against SUNY Canton in their latest Hearthstone match on Tuesday (Mar. 19).

Coker started the game with their Malygos Druid deck and SUNY Canton brought out their Rush Warrior deck. Coker was able to find their combo but SUNY Canton was able to gain enough armor to protect themselves from the damage. Coker decided to keep their Malygos Druid and the opposition decided to use Odd Paladin. This was a good matchup for Coker as they were able to control the board and not allow SUNY Canton to find the damage to win, equalizing the match to 1-1. For the third game Coker brought out their Odd Warrior against SUNY Canton's Odd Paladin. Although they were able to get through Coker's armor and put them down to 10 health, Coker was able to find lethal to get their second win. Now Coker just needed to get a win with their last deck, Odd paladin, and SUNY Canton decided to switch it up and bring out their Even Warlock deck. Coker was able to constantly apply board pressure to win the match 3-1.

This puts Coker at 5-4 for the season and closer to the one of the spots in the playoff.
