HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College spirit squad volunteered at Carolina Elementary School this afternoon (Feb. 17) to inform and encourage students to participate in their Dragon Run Fundraiser that is taking place on March 3rd.
The students of Carolina Elementary will seek pledges to help raise money for their school and will walk/run for their pledges in the Dragon Run Fundraiser. The money raised from the fundraiser will help with purchasing new playground and Physical Education Equipment.
"It was a wonderful opportunity to interact with the students," stated senior Miranda Knorr of the Coker College spirit squad. "To see them excited about raising for their school and excited about physical activity was rewarding to see."
Be sure to catch the Spirit Squad in action this Saturday (Feb. 18) in the Hoops 4 Hope basketball games. The women's basketball game will tip off at 2 p.m. followed by the men's game at 4 p.m.
