Coker Spirit Squad Lends a Helping Hand at Carolina Kids
The Coker spirit squad lent a helping hand to the workers at Carolina Kids on Saturday (Aug. 23).
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Members of the Coker spirit squad took part in a special community service project at Carolina Kids on Saturday (Aug. 23). Carolina Kids is a nonprofit organization located in Hartsville that serves the Darlington County area through the collection and distribution of goods such as clothes, food and school supplies needed by students in lower income families. The team rearranged clothes and helped prepare bags of goods for the students in the coming week. According to the team, it was an experience that will not be forgotten.
"Every child is not as fortune as another," said senior Kenya Frazier. "The whole experience is humbling because sometimes you forget just how good you have it."
You can see the spirit squad perform throughout the year at home athletic events.
