Four Home Games This Week For Baseball
Baseball starts eight game homestead with Mount Olive Tuesday.
HARTSVILLE, SC. - Coker looks to gain momentum after taking down #7 Catawba Sunday, taking on #13 Mount Olive and Wingate this week. The Cobras took down Catawba in game three Sunday 5-1.

COBRA CORNER:
- Jaylen Mack leads the Cobras at the plate sporting a .481 batting average. The senior has produced two home runs to go along with seven double and two triples.
- Luke Alford is tied with Mack as both have hit two long balls on the season.
- Jaylen Mack, Gabriel Santiago, Ick Cirino, and Alex Lazar all hold batting averages higher than .300 with 2.5 plate appearances per game.
- Tyler Satterley currently leads the pitching staff with a record of 5-1.
- Casey Cleghorn has thrown the most innings on the year with 38.0 IP and holds a 3.08 ERA.
- Cody Chapman has logged the most strikeouts for the Cobras with 34.
- Coker ranks fifth in the country with 83 stolen bases. Gabriel Santiago leads the team with 19 ranking ninth in the country.
- Jaylen Mack leads the SAC in batting average. He also ranks second in hits per game.
LAST TIME OUT:
- Coker dropped two of three over the weekend to Catawba. The Cobras took down UNC Pembroke in the midweek with a 6-5 victory.
- Against Pembroke, the Cobras recorded five hits, but plated four runs in the third to ultimately take down the Braves.
- The Cobras scored four runs in the inning on two hits, forcing the Braves into three errors to take a demanding lead.
- Catawba kept the Cobras off balance seemingly all night Friday. Catawba scratched all three of their runs in the first two innings, before it became a pitchers duel the rest of the way.
- Game two saw Coker threaten in the first inning. Hunter Poole led off with a single through the right side, and later advanced to third after two sacrifices. Catawba produced a fly out to end the inning, and kept the Cobras off the board.
- In game three, the Cobras saw their first two runners reach base safely via free passes, and eventually Jaylen Mack brought them around with a two RBI double. Gabriel Santiagoquickly brought Mack in just one batter later with a single up the middle to give Coker a 3-0 lead. Luke Alford later singled through the right side, and Coker posted four runs in the inning.
- Tyler Satterley came on in relief and was dominant for the Cobras. He threw 4.2 innings allowing just three hits while striking out three. He came into the game in the third, and quickly shut down the Catawba chance to help Coker get back in the dugout.
- Satterley worked out of a jam in the bottom of the fourth and fifth to keep Catawba off the board, holding onto the 5-1 lead. Over the course of the final two innings, he saw just four batters, helping Coker leave Catawba with a win.
