Luke Peterson got the scoring started with a single to center, and just one batter later Jaylen Mack blasted a double to the fence to bring in another. Coker saw bases loaded for a majority of the inning, and continued to do damage. Cameron Ferrell, Ian Miller, Jacob Yarberry, and Gabriel Santiago all recorded RBI in the inning, and at the end of one Coker led 7-0.
Aaron Diaz was dominant in the second inning, working a one, two, three inning to get the Cobras back to the plate. The Cobras threatened in the third and fourth, but couldn't add anything additional.
Diaz continued to be dominant on the mound, allowing just one run through the first four. Lenoir-Rhyne responded, as they have all weekend, in the fifth with six runs to tie the game at seven.
The Cobras quickly countered that spurt with one of their own in the bottom half. Coker roped three quick singles courtesy of Alex Lazar, Luke Alford, and Ian Miller to retake the lead. After a Jacob Yarberry sacrifice bunt led to an error, Coker threatened. Hunter Poole, Gabriel Santiago, and Jaylen Mack all recorded hits, and at the innings end, Coker led 13-7.
In the seventh, Coker added two more on a Rocco Wojcik pinch hit single, and Jaylen Mack's third RBI of the day. Tyler Satterley who came in for relief of Diaz, working multiple quick innings, keeping the Bears off balance. He allowed one home run in the sixth and eighth, but didn't allow more damage than that.
Coker closed out the final inning, and evened the series at one a piece 17-10.
G2:
Lenoir-Rhyne started game three off hot. After getting their first two on, last nights here Carricato blasted his second long ball of the series to give the Bears a 3-0 lead. Cody Chapman worked out of a jam after that, and only allowed one more run on the inning.
Coker got a run back in the bottom of the first courtesy of yet another RBI single from Jaylen Mack. The Cobras left one on in the inning, and trailed 4-1.
Lenoir-Rhyne continued to extend its lead plating two and three runs in the second and third inning. Landon Reeves threw a scoreless top of the fourth, before the Bears tacked on two more in the fifth.
The Bears coasted to the finish line, and eventually took down Coker 16-3.
