
Coker Hosts Belmont Abbey Friday In Season Opener
Cobras set to play host at 3p.m. vs. Crusaders to kickoff season.
HARTSVILLE, SC. - Spring has finally arrived, and Coker baseball is set to host Belmont Abbey Friday afternoon in their season opener. The Cobras, who were picked preseason fourth in the SAC, are set to start thier 2025 campaign off at Tom J. New Field. Following Friday nights game, Coker will travel to the Crusaders on Saturday to finish the last two games of the series.

- Coker saw three players receive All-Conference Preseason 2nd team before the season, as Jaylen Mack (catcher), Aaron Diaz (SP), and Tyler Satterley (RP) all look to be key pieces in the 2025 season.
- The Cobras return 35 players from last years team that finished 2nd in the SAC regular season.
- Cameron Ferrell, Ick Cirino, Jaylen Mack, Hunter Poole, Gabriel Santiago, Adam Wilkerson, and Jacob Yarberry all return to the Cobra lineup after logging at least 100 plate appearances a season ago.
- Aaron Diaz and Cody Chapman each started 10+ games last season, and look to be key to the Cobras starting rotation in the 2025 campaign.
- Satterley led the Cobras in 2024 with 5 saves over 34.0 innings.
- Jaylen Mack led Coker with 4 home runs a season ago, as Luke Alford swatted 3 of his own.
